Wow, this one is great. The bird (is it a raven?) looks very.. between-the-worlds-ly, so to say. And the key and "12" - all this makes your work very symbolic and mysterious.

Yes, 12 does have meaning. It is complicated so I will try to keep things simple.
12: cosmic order; spiritual and temporal order. 1+2=3; the soul, spirit; multiplicity; the power of 3 is universal and is the tripartite nature of the world as heaven, earth, water; man as mind, body, spirit; body soul, spirit; birth, life, death and on and on.

Oh, yes, I understand. I'm a bit familiar with adding multi digit numbers to get a single digit. My husband and I both have the Roman numeral 5 for our wedding date tattooed.
