This is fabulous!
At first i was seeing a landscape, perhaps a small world, (reminds me of the story of the Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry) then once I read the description I recognized the bird's head. I love the collage aspect to it.
I havent worked in collage extensively.. this shows great potential for what the medium can do. I am impressed!

Excellent! I thought it mimicked a landscape and so left it to see what response I would get. I am unsure if this is truly collage but I tend to blur techniques into each other.
Thank you!

I love the clock . . . and the bird is starting to look like the entire landscape of the piece

I have been contemplating different ways to expand on the bird form.
Thank you!

Thank you so much! Though it does not seem so while I am painting, every stroke is deliberate.

Another poem ...
BIRD OF TIME
Great bird of time
no reason ... no rhyme
it looks over us all
as upon us it's shadow does fall
Our fates, below it, connected
our hearts, below it, corrected
the future is near
the past we can hear
Will you prick us?
Break our nexus?
Or just pass over?
Like an nameless rover?

Lovely metamorphosis. And the bird is still very recognizable in it's altered state. The colours are wonderful, and the collage creates so much texture and detail. I think the clock's a perfect fit. He indeed feels like a keeper of time, strong and powerful and imposing. Once again, I'm left staring in awe. ^__^

Thank you much! I like the idea of the bird being in an altered state. I am unsure how far I will go with this or how much the bird form might change. I will probably do this with other animal icons I use.

This looks dangerous, or forboding. I don't know, this image makes me think something bad in the universe the bird inhabits will happen.

Ooo interesting. Or something bad had happened.
I like reading and hearing other's interpretations of my artwork. Sometimes it makes me see a view point I may have not of realized before.

Your work seems to have lots of different meanings and interpretations, layered, burried, poking above the surface like a sprout. One of the reasons I like your work so much!
