This is freakin' gorgeous!!! How did you make the paint do that!? Did you put something on top of it while it was still wet, then lift it off?? It reminds me of those ceilings you see in some houses!!

I called this a manipulated monotype. Put the paint on, press, and lift. I have been working figuring out which direction the veins go when the paper is lifted or separated. I think it is a cool effect and wonder how many more I will be able to make.

The branches happened during the monotype print process. I hope to be able to have more success with these.

I used to do stuff like that using candle wax (melted it on the paper...made lotsa messes)

I have messed with wax. It was scented so the artwork smelled good too
