This bird is absolutely adorable. The texture of the feathers is well-done, the eye is bright and inquisitive, the pose makes the bird seem like it is eager and ready to explore, and the shape of the bird's body resembles an egg almost ... like a newly-hatched chick that has just come into the world, bright with hope and promise, the symbol of the Easter/spring season.

teehehe I love the scruff, it makes him very cute. I'm not sure how I feel about that triangle there though, it doesn't quite make sense where it is. Usually I like the shapes that you include in the bird compositions but this one just doesn't seem to do much.

I love the texture..it's a nice change, cuz usually your birds don't have any feathures sticking out, and I really like this one.

Thank you! I've been trying to "let go" more often and let the brush and hand do their thing. Many times I overwork pieces and things become stiff and stale.
