The effects of colour are subtle and delicate, the anatomy of the creature seems suggestive rather than precise.

I am reminded (as you intended) of the hapless insects trapped and preserved in the amber of millions of years ago?

Even in the initial thumbnail, I could see a circle implied behind the dragonfly, and when I clicked on it, I saw the actual circle. Great job. Everything ... the wings, the feelers, the tail, is well done! Even though the wings are very still, the background makes me feel the pulsing of life.
