Reminds of Roland's meeting with the 'sisters' in Stephen King's Dark Tower: Gunslinger series. Surreal and beautiful.

I see it as a type of energy. That is the only way I can think of to explain it.

oh! Nice!
greenish-yellow & red combinations are my favourite sometimes haha.
I usually check the people commenting me, but I hadn't checked yours yet. I like this.
the texture in her drapery like hair at the right edge is fantastic. why aren't you making stories about your birds and women and red trees? haha.

haha yeah, lately I've been pushing some folks to make more stories.
the other day I got home at 05.00 in the morning and wrote this intricate adventure for a guy who I wanted to draw haha.

well actually I'm on a creative highway, so I nearly wrote one to you too haha. I just felt I had to practice restraint for some reason.

Wow....so interesting looking. I kind of reminds me a a darker version of a fairy tale world, only with the mythological twist that's very reminiscient of the three sisters who guarded the golden Ram, minus the ram and dangerous serpents.

Mixed media huh? It kind of looks like an acrylic base with oil finishes. I detect some watercolor in there too, but since the full-view isn't very large, it's a wee bit hard for me to tell how much.

the mixed media in this piece consists of acrylics, charcoal, graphite, and pastel. sorry no watercolor or oils.

Ah...I wasn't too sure, since it's a lot harder to tell the difference in a picture than it is in real life. The smoothness made me think of oils.

It is one of my faves actually, as a whole piece.
I find that the artist is usually so close to the painting that they become perhaps a little bit jaded with it, maybe the initial passion starts to fade, but to a viewer seeing the painting for the first time (and each subsequent time) it knocks their socks off!
