It's a white oak...they loose their leaves in fall but are already coming back. In about a month it won't even look the same.

wow! thats very interesting. Oak trees are one of my favorites. I like photographing them because of their shape. I looked them up and they exist where I am but in a small portion so I bet there are not too many. I will keep my eyes open
