From Susan Cooper's Dark Is Rising sequence of books.The drawing is my idea of what one of the main characters, Merriman, might look like. He is easily my favorite from the series. Cooper always describes him as having a hawk nose, deep set eyes, and white unruly hair. Every time he shows up in the series, you know something awesome is about to happen.
Anyway, it is an excellent series that you should definitely sample if you have a chance.
