And your barefooting days of foot tickling are past;

For although until now I've been losing the race
As I eagerly followed the path I could trace,
Now at last that we're finally in the same place
Come, good citizens - look at us both face to face;
For I'm sure you could have quite a beautiful town
Full of elegant life and respectful renown,
It would kill me inside if you let yourselves down
And submitted your sense to the lure of this clown;
I can just understand how he took you all in
With his silvery tongue and his beauty of sin,
And the fun of his path that he's had you begin
But you must now turn back or let decadence win;

For it isn't real freedom he's helped you to feel
But just deviant joy that you're letting him steal,
While you get a few laughs as you're part of the deal
Then he leaves you at sea, without anything real;
When you've laughed yourselves silly to give him a treat
And surrendered your love of the nice and the neat,
He'll ride off in the sunset, conversion complete
And then all you'll have left will be bare tickled feet;
Guard your proper behaviour, too precious to lose
Send this charlatan packing along with his ruse,
I beseech you for this is your moment to choose
Stop the foot-tickling now, and then PUT ON YOUR SHOES!!!"
