Description
Now at first I could hardly believe what I'd heard
With the feet-tickles flowing as free as a bird,
But I heard it a second time, even a third
And I felt a brief shudder of fear at the word;
And then all of a sudden, I felt it was true
As I looked all around, other dudes felt it too,
Then we started to gather a bit of a clue
And deduce what the stranger had come here to do;
Then the thought of a legend of awful renown
Entered into my mind as it deepened my frown,
As I sadly beheld every dude in the town
Feel the mood and his passion begin to go down;

I was saddened to witness the end of the mood
That had gladdened the heart of each barefootin dude,
Who had tickled my dawgs with a keen attitude
But now suddenly started to feel a bit crude;
As the sinister stranger approached down the street
And the whole town awaited the fate they would meet,
Many dudes who had relished my tickle game treat
Seemed a little embarrassed at having bare feet;
As I saw my proud barefooters start to feel shame
I resented this blot on my triumph's acclaim,
And the stranger was surely the party to blame
As the guys all approached him and asked for his name;

I could tell that the stranger put faith in his might
And believed he could conquer our hedonist sight,
I just wiggled my toes and prepared for the fight
While the glances I caught let me feel I was right;
He looked ready and eager, all primed for the task
With such pride as he spoke he seemed almost to bask,
And a visage too stately to hide with a mask
As he calmly responded, "I'm glad that you ask;"
That he'd be tough to conquer could not be denied
I was longing to see if his will could be tried,
As he drew himself up with phenomenal pride
"I'm the Dean of Decorum," he calmly replied;
