I was trying to look up a metaphor to describe what Arthur did to Alfred at that time...and I came up with "ATM machine"
damn...
luckily the ATM was invented in 1939
at least the time line was fine, for the story is now at around 1970-80 ish

Oh my god I only discovered it today and I already love it. Toris face and dialogue in the end is so cute, just as something a person so positive as him would said and it's nice to see Alfred serious and hurt for once. Normally Arthur is the one suffering

Haha~thank you!
Alfred is just a confused little kid. Arthur's tsundere attitude is not helping at all XD

America reveals he's broken-hearted, too. I guess he and Ivan share something in common now.
(And LOL, ATM machine. England also technically owes the US a crapload of money from the war, but Alfred really didn't expect him to pay him back...which maybe shows he still loves him?
- lol, mixing history with a love story. XD)

Awwww~
Toris is so nice~
Course that's what causes other countries to tramper over him lol
And yeah, I agree with what everyone else says~ England probably loved America intensely, and America England....
Course, neither of them would ever openly admit it to the other, which is why they'll always clash heads~ *chuckles*

well, they've got time ^^

Oh Toris, always so kind, yet so beautiful.
but i have to agree with him of what he said, Arthur still cares for Alfred, it's probably just that they're both so proud and cannot admit their brotherly feelings for each other. oh well *continues reading* <3

yep~those two...what a shame lol
Alfred is a kid; guess you can't expect him to understand things that are not explicitly spoken
too bad England probably will never confess? tsundere XD

yeah England being so tsundere isn't exactly helping this frail brotherhood, but on other hand it would be boring if US and UK never fought and argued with each other. xDDD

You draw Lithuania so adorable!
Just something I thought I'd mention to you; it sounds awkward for Liet to say "America-san" and then "Mr. Kirkland" the next (in the same bubble no less). It should be "Alfred/America-san" and "England/Kirkland-san" or replace -san with Mr. Personally, I'm no fan of Japanese honorifics when something is translated in English because Toris would never address Russia/America/England with name-san. He would say Mr. or Ponas (Lithuanian) or Gaspazha (Russian). Only time he might use -san if if he were speaking to Kiku.

Because I really have a problem Alfred's last name? lol No offense to people who have the same last name...It just makes me think of Indiana Jones all the time ORZ, and the thing is, Alfred's image does overlap with Indiana Jones OTL
The only reason I used Mr. is because England is...England, just like your reason that Japan is Japan ^^
I'll change that when I'm able to get over it psychologically||| right now it's still a little difficult, and I might end up switching Mr. Kirkland to England san anyways (I made Russia call Alfred Mr. Jones, for some reason it sounded really sarcastic to me)ahhhh---(still a lot of psychological barriers going on ORZ)
but thanks for your suggestion!

Still, it sounds weird to me (being an American) that Lithuania would address America with -san since neither of them are Japanese. If he's so comfortable with America why not just have him call him 'Alfred" with no honorific? Otherwise I think Mr. or Ponas would be more correct. I also think Ponas or Gaspazha (abbreviated as G-n) would work Russia. All in all though, I think you'd be good with just Mr. I understand what you're saying and all, but it just sounds (forgive me) like weeaboo/wapanese to me and takes away from the seriousness of the story.

Indeed. I'm not trying to undermine you or tell you what to do (I'd read it even if Liet started calling everyone Monsieur). I'm just expressing my opinion/be helpful. But I can shut-up if you like?

Gawd I love this. <3 Tough I dont know why the creator showed Liet so kind and polite. .___. Most of Lithuanians arent like that DX

Setomi In reply to HippoRaptor [2009-06-15 14:33:18 +0000 UTC]
Really!?
He said Liet has a kind of "Baltic shyness", so I guess he acts really polite to strangers, but opens up later when he gets closer to the person?
But poor Liet gets stomach aches all the time. Hope real Lithuanians don't experience that XD
