Typical. As soon as I upload this picture, "Give me a Sign" by Breaking Benjamin starts playing
. Anyhoo! This is giftart for the awesome *SilverShadowfax who has been feeling down of late
. And also to thank her for getting this commision done of Ryu and Leiko:Some of you may know who this is but for those who don't, this is "Teh Smex" aka Ryu in dragon form
. I really wanted another excuse to draw this dragon as I really like his design and I really want to practice drawing my dragons 
. For this picture, I was inspired by *Simkaye 's recent deviation:I demand that you all go and check out her gallery if you haven't done already
. Well yes I know some things may be off like the left wing and the claws. I fail at claws and paws . A reference was used and yes the background is suppose to be slightly blurred to give the sense of motion 
. I know it may be similiar to the other Ryu picture I did but hey what can I say? I like sunsets . I hoped it is liked

The skies and the dragon are my favorite parts of this. The dragon looks awesome and the color of the sky indicates war or something.

This is so wonderful! I love the angle of his pose, it's rare that anyone ever draws a diving dragon. The sky in the background is so beautiful, those colors are gorgeous and seem very befitting for this piece. And aww! I'm so glad my work inspired you! You're too sweet

Awww, wow! This is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Aww, hun it's lovely! I freaking love the pose! He really does look like he's gliding through the sky ^___^ And his expression is really sweet. He looks very peaceful and happy to be a dragon
