Description
lol. So I am also taking Media Graphics Production which is basically a photoshop class. This was out first assignment. We were supposed to make an image with masks. We could make it about anything we wanted, so since I have an unhealthy fascination with the ocean, I decided to make an underwater scene. X3 My goal was to make it look as realistic as possible. The coral on the bottom is 3 separate images. Each jellyfish is from a different image as well. The octopus is a separate image as with the turtle and dolphins also. I used water images from texture sites to get the water effect and used PS brushes for the lighting effects.
I had to draw in several things due to them being cut off either in the photo or in the "cut-out" process (lol cant remember the technical term right now). Some of those being the tip of the turtles front fin and the string-like tentacles on the jellyfish because they were too small for PS to register.
I'm pretty happy with it : D

Nice work man! May I give a bit of advice, try doing a few colour-adjustments to the foreground items (coral, jellyfish and turtles)so that they match the surrounding ocean a bit more. A bit like the dolphins, which fit in perfect.

I definitely thought this was an actual photograph. I like the placement of the coral and how use overlapped it with the turtle the other sea creatures. I think the dolphins are too cluttered in the corner but that's just me. Overall I think you did an excellent job.
