I actually really like them so much jewelry, especially ethnic ones .... you notice?!
I think they hang everywhere rather than break ... poor Lancer! He hates me for sure! XD
They are characteristic of ethnic group to which belongs Lancer, which distinguishes the "Erranti" from the rest of the Martians, in to the fic I'm writing.... together with the habit of tattooing .... I noticed that the only Martian Throttle is tattooed in the original series, and have built on this a story ....
If you are interested in is published on fanfic.net (tile Erranti),but it is only in Italian, because I can not write long stories in English ... but soon I hope to be able to translate it into English, in the meantime ... Google translate is only Γ§.Γ§

I always just assume throttle presses 1 of those push stamps in ink and pushes it to his arm to make that pattern on his fur roflmto.

It's true!
To solve the problem of the tattoo, I was inspired to horses.
Sometimes, it happens that they obtain the injuries (especially on the withers, because of the saddle). The skin, once healed, he began to produce white fur.
This happens because hair-follicles have been damaged and the effect is irreversible. In the fic I'm writing I imagined it could happen also to mice Martians, by inoculation under-skin of substances capable of "damaging" the same way their hair-follicles. Depending on the substance that is injected, is obtained by a different color. Basically it works like a tattoo human, but instead of ink, there is this substance (I figured that was the poison of a scorpion) and the spots where it was injected, the fur will grow forever in a different color. So you get permanent tattoos!
