Cute cat! I really love the water but it doesn't blend into the grass very well. The grass doesn't seem to have much depth and the grass isn't very organized. The sky blends in fairly well but it still looks a bit awkward. And there is a white outline around the cat. The cat could use some shading as it is rather flat. It doesn't have much depth so I suggest learning a bit about perspective but over all it looks pretty good! I would like to know what program you use cause I might be able to recommend some tutorials or speedpaints. Sorry if I was harsh!

Ahhhh, what I thought... www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdCTYm… This speedpaint should be at least a bit helpful. Maybe you should make the grass and water in one layer and try painting it. Making the lineart for the cat thinner could help too. ^-^

I love your work! Your oc looks really cute. The background looks pretty, a little scratchy, but really good! Overall, the picture looks great! Very cute, too! ^w^
First, I'd like to point out what I like about the picture. First of all, the water. It looks like actual water :'3 The texture of it is well done. . . something that I seriously would need a few days to do xD I also like the fact you made the reflection not to strong. I personally feel that images get sort of diluted if that;s the wword when they're reflected in water that's moving a little. This definitely did it.
As for things I feel you could improve, shading is a definite. Since this looks like a night image, shading the cat to dit the dark would definitely help. Using dark blue and a shading layer mode will help bring out a night-time theme. What I usually do Is make another layer, make is the color I want the shading set on multiply, then erase where light would hit the fur.) FInally, the grass seems no be going in a bunch of directions. If you wanted, maybe try making brush strokes in one general direction. It'll give a sense of flowing grassy fields.
Overall though, it's a very cute drawing! ^w^ I love drawings with themes like this, which brought my attention easily, plus, she happy expression the cat has is so welcoming~ ^^ I feel I could just run up and hug her e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Action: Looking over water and seeing a different cat in the water (it's my reflection except it's not me) and it's a fluffy cat that is gray on it's back, head, legs, and tail and snow-white on HER belly, paws, bottom part of mouth, and chest. She is staring back at me and she has blue eyes.
