According to measurements given in canon, they run from about nine to thirteen inches. That one looks more like eighteen or twenty. A wand that long would be harder to hide (a spy needs a concealable weapon) and more vulnerable to breaking. I don't think the length of Snape's wand is ever given, but fanon usually makes it a bit over a foot. Holding a twelve-inch ruler can give one a feel for it (which is how I estimated twenty inches for the one you've drawn: by holding an eighteen-inch ruler in the same position).
