Let's be honest, rival gets rekt first battle.
Pokemon have finally made their entrance to F&I after one and a half years, WOO! That's some progress, wouldn't you think?
Unfortunately getting the coloring done for this update took a lot longer than expected because A) procrastination B) school C) loss of motivation D) I'm an idiot and somehow can't do simple shading. I feel a little burnt out but at the same time I want to switch gears and put quantity/story over quality for once. The next few pages will most likely be in black and white to save on time and, theoretically, they'll come out faster too. Theoretically.
And yes, the Squirtle has a name- he'll get one the next update. And no, this comic will never be visually consistent.

Alice's dialogue is pretty fun to write. XD I have to admit I was heavily influenced by Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Gotta love me some Whedon.

cute design on the squirtle- especially the tail. adds a nice feel to your style, i think, and shows where wartortles floof comes from later haha. also that was the most badass counter to vine whip a water-type could ever make. seriously

Nice, very nice, the battle is well done and the banter between the two pokemon was brilliant. I really like that squirtle, he's quite the character and his quips are adorable (not quite the right word, but I can't think of a better one at the moment). His design is really nice, too, the darker colors are unique and distinctive, and his 'feathered' tail makes for a nice precursor to his wartortle form.
Triple pun? I think I spotted two, what's the third?
And don't worry about quality, I think this looks great!

He sort of reminds me of one of the TMNT designs, and all the sass that implies, which promises to be fun. He certainly is more mobile than the typical squirtle.

Wow, three puns all wrapped up in a single word. Genius! And here I was thinking there was some vague pun involving Endeavor due to squirtle beating an enemy twice his level. But I DID catch two of the three puns, though I misinterpreted them as one: the second and third.
