Been following the comic quietly for a long time so I decided to enter the fanart contest, because I feel like this story was overdue some fanart from me anyway. Of course I drew my favorite character, Delilah's friend Harry. These kids are crushin' on each other and it's super, super cute. GWD's art style is also cute, with dark themes and color schemes but round shapes, soft lines, and an overall pleasing appearance that reads as "adorably Gothic." Did my best to capture that here with a nod to the very purply color scheme in Harry's imagination cloud and my best attempt at the round, big-eyed sweetness in their faces.

Gave a nod to the other title character (whose source material is the springboard, pun intended, for this fan universe) in the form of a teddy bear, er, bun, for Harry's bed.

I can't remember the exact ages of these two but they're either very young teens (like 13 or 14) or in that tween, cusp of teenager-hood stage (like 11 or 12). Romantic elements in stories about/for kids this age are always interesting to me because it's such a varied developmental time physically, emotionally, sexually, and in terms of general overall maturity. Kids from say, 10 to 15 or so will be very different in their level of interest in intimate relationships and their level of sexual curiosity or even experimentation. So I decided to keep this sweet but extra innocent. I have no idea if Harry feels like he wants to/ is ready to kiss his little girlfriend, or what else he might ever imagine doing with her (the usual fantasies about marriage and babies when they're older? Xrated stuff he caught on his sister's computer? never thought about it that far and she just makes him feel squishy inside? could be anything) but he's already put his arm around her in universe and I know for sure he wants to hold her hand and make googly eyes with her!!! I think she does too. But they're shyyyyyyyyy. aaaaaack it's so sweet y'all. Then the next page talks about murder and ghosts and abuse, it's just a really interesting, fun comic that takes the dual themes of "crazed murderer haunts robot bunny" and "family with problems" and runs around with them. Fun ride.

I couldn't think of what to put on Harry's poster but was loathe to leave the wall blank so I decided he's a fan of a rock band called Rock Band! for max irony and he has one of their posters. *shrug*
