This week's homework was to draw (one of) my tattoo gun(s). This is my baby
It's a Spaulding and Rogers Reaper.
I'm posting it mainly cause I dont know if I'll be seeing Elly this week thanks to winter sticking around.

Looks really nice...you definitely got the whole 'shiny' texture thing down. I'm curious, did you use a reference photo of your own hand to do this, or did you draw from life.

I love shiny. Its so satisfying.
I spent a whole bunch of time drawing a line, then switching to holding the gun and back to the pencil, trying to remember just what it looked like. Then for actual shading and wrinkle lines, I did take a photo of my hand holding the machine. it was just taking too long going back and forth.

I don't know if it helped you but I hope it at least made you more familiar with all the parts of your machine. wonderful work you get an a++ lol. and seeing as winter has crapped out on us and I am not going to be a monster and try to get you to venture out in the blizzards I am going to leave you a note on your homework. no, it totally helped, i kept finding myself about to shade in an area or flesh out a line and having to go back and say 'way, whats there?.. is that metal or wire?" and stuff like that. definately helpful. not so much with the names of the parts though hehe
i know, could this week be any crappier? first its all hot outside and the snow's melting... next thing you know 'hi my name's blizzard. if you could just stay inside your home for a couple hours... i'll make sure to coat it in lovely white for you.' I think my mother's still in the city. she didn't bother coming home last night.

yeah well no worries about the names of the parts. lol as long as you know what they do and everything you will be fine. its kind of like when I help fix the car hehehe I am like ok so the thingamabob needs flushed and the doohickey needs to be replaced lol.
The weather is so sucky. everything is a skating rink around here, which isnt as cool as it sounds (and honestly it sounds like hell.) when your walking an 85 pound dog er he is walking you lol. I need brakes on my dog hehehe.
