Description For the end of my Drawing II class I had to do drawings of this very large still life. I know this kind of stuff isn't particularly popular on dA, but I think it really sums up everything I learned in that class. It took a while for the art to get back to me - my professor was making slides of it over the summer. Anyway, here's a different view of the still life, done in charcoal and white chalk, then washed over to highlight the shapes.

WHOA, I love the skeleton, you didn't get lost in the rib cage like I keep doing.

nice work
i can see some of the issues with the planes towards the top but no problem you encountered seems to have made this image less enjoyable

the set up is very nice and and it's still topnotch execution. analytical line work like this is way harder then shading things, u can cheat some when shading ^_^
good stuff

pretty kewl, looks all grungey and really shows your process. the only thing that kind of bothers me is that stand to the left... the back leg of it that we see ends a tiny bit too soon, causing the uh... table part on the top to become lop-sided by like 1 degree. then again i could be wrong, it may just be the perspective. either way nice job! it's got a good vibe to it

I think I might see what you mean I imagine its hard to describe it exactly. I know I had problems with the tables because the professors didn't want us using vanishing points for our 2 point perspective - it makes it really hard to pull off when you just go with your own eye XD

I'm really glad you like it though - I appreciate the constructive criticism ^^

I think it shows that you have a lot of talent and that there was a lot to learn in your classroom. I like seeing what people do in their drawing classes, and I think this turned out very nicely.

I'm really flattered that you like this drawing, and I appreciate the fav! Thanks so much!

The professor was really happy with my work, so I think I learned a lot in the class about drawing objectively. Now I just need more practice with drawing without a reference x3
