Description I wonder why
The dying fly
Bothered the Old Lady, gray;
The wiggling spider
Crawled down inside her
Prompting innards' decay.
The soaring bird
In saliva stirred
Snapped up the arachnid, barely;
The stupid cat
Thumped down and sat
In new litter box, unfairly.
The howling hound
Excitedly bound
Within the swollen tum.
His bark and growl
Above her bowel
Could be heard outside her bum.
A dying bleat
In structured beat
A goat soon joined the five;
Crowded and cramped
Gastric jam packed
A cow was forced into the hive.
Udder and all
It took a fall
A tumble down the way;
Bones and ears
Tails and fears
Not a nook, or light of day.
At final bit
A massive twit
Neighing nag, a sturdy brown;
Turned to kick
Made the goat sick
And caused the cat to drown.
Old Lady's swollen abdomen
Ripped open like a sack;
All tumbled out
Gushing like gout
Membrane couldn't take them back.
It goes without saying
The Old Lady didn't live.
The sanctified cow
Split from her brow
Had no more milk to give.
All the other critters
No longer trapped
Sticky and stinky
Squeezed and scrapped
Did not live to see the day.
Could it turn out, another way?

There is a phrase, "bile fascination," that with respect to this poem is unusually apt.

Sorry, just wanted to make that joke.

I really enjoyed this.  But it also totally grossed me out.

I think you deserve mad props for this.  Good work.

Lol! I was going for that grotesque (pun intended) feel.

No apology needed. Thanks for your kind comment.
