i use clip studio paint to sketch/animate them, then resize the gif and then line them out (and everything else) in Aseprite ;v; and thank you!!! i appreciate you offering to help!Β Β

Gahh, super late cause this got buried and I didn't see you replaced.
Besides moving to aseprite completely (up to personal preference, I always start in aseprite), it might help to start at a smaller size! The gif I saw was p good so it might be better to start lowering yourself down to ~100x100 or even at ~50x50 because it'll be easier to account for details!
In addition, it could be good to start with blobs of color / the silhouette where applicable and then add lines for everything afterwards. Or, if you do a sketch for one of the frames and then animate it in blogs afterwards. You can sorta see what I mean with the bases of my YCHs-
(each leg, the body, the head, and the arms are their own thing)
And ofc, saint11 has a helluva tips and does start more with parts and silhouettes for his stuff- all of which can be found here:

i actually recently started animating them by doing the uh. the blobs thing before colouring! its been super super helpful actually ;U; its way easier than lining it all in 50x50 and then colouring and trying to figure out what you intended to be what and stuff bhjkbhjdk
ive actually seen these tutorials before!! theyre super helpful but im silly and sometimes forget about them when animating on my own :'D

Actually with the small number of missing accessories/flowers on her and the sliiightly shorter hair, she kind of looks like her sprout form or something!Β :v
Like she doesn't HAVE a sprout form, I haven't drawn it yet but this totally might have given me an idea for hairstyle and such!
I really love it, honest. Sure some things had to be sacrificed but in the long run I was just really looking forward to a pretty icon of her and you certainly delivered.Β :>
