reminds me of a song from the german vegan metalcoreband maroon:
"now i use your technology to show you how they die a billion times everyday"
love the crazy lyrics just as your picture, especialy the sheep!

Hm, very social critique or maybe thought-provoking, but since it is a job who cares...
I think you had fun drawing it, because it is so full of details and so neat in its composition. The facial expression of the sheep is very funny.
Great job!

That would be a terrible situation if this kind of thing somehow happened.
Course, some people could say we'd deserve such a fate.
In that respect, it's an interesting piece. At first you want to feel disturbed, appalled, and upset - but it makes you have a sort of epiphany at this point (hopefully), and you say to yourself, "Well, now anyone who sees this knows how the animals would view it."
Even stranger, I'll probably keep eating meat after seeing this.

this was a commission, so its not really my thought. i mean the world would be more dangerous for us people if that would happen but i guess the real conception of "terrible" in that case means more than just killing for food (survive)...it means unscrupulousness in the context of aware responsibility.its not just terrible to imagine that animals would have these human attributes, its also terrible because we would either know where these attributes come from or we wouldnΒ΄t have this confession (that makes us not beeing true to ourselves).
i think if animals will evolve like this we couldnΒ΄t say : "thats how "animals" would view it". (because they became some kind of human beeings...at least they have a big human character)
thank you very much for your feed back!

Ooo, good point - that does make it into a more unsettling thought than before. If this were the way things had always been, we indeed would not understand the way the animals thought of us nor would we end up thinking to ourselves, "well we did it to them..."
That kind of opens the door for me to a larger perspective that if any species spends a long enough time period being seen as just cattle, they either subconciously accept the role or just give up on fighting it.
You're very welcome. That's an interesting commission - I wonder how many people raised a brow to the commissionee when they asked for a picture of such a drastic role reversal. It made for a powerful and thought provoking image that I think you pulled off rather nicely
