** NPC STATS & INVENTORY

Each NPC can have 50 stats spread across their skills & 80 HP

All NPC's have 5 inventory slots, these are not filled

NPC's can wear Inventory items & Equipment
They CANNOT use status affecting weapons!!

NPCS CAN DIE IN GROUP EVENTS// SCAVENGING HOSTILE ENCOUNTERS!

** What's an NPC? Can I make one? How do they differ from playable characters? **

  NPCs (non-playable characters) are "background characters" that are not active in the RPG - meaning: although you may draw/write them, they do not gain XP, learn skills, participate in tasks/events, any of SF's other activities, etc. They can be anyone or anything (meaning, yes: zombie and animal NPCs are a thing!). NPCs are mostly used when you need someone to interact with your character for story-purposes, but you don't want to use another player's character for whatever reason.

  You are NOT required to place your NPCs on this template, but it is recommended if you'd like to share them with others. Anyone can make an NPC - yes, even guests who do not have a playable character in the group! Being NPCs, they do not require the same level of detail as playable characters, so you may provide as little or as much information for their bio as you'd like. Whereas PCs are "well-rounded", NPCs can be more "flat". However, NPCs do need to follow the same Character Creation guidelines as PCs.

  Please still try your best when designing the character. You are not limited on how many NPCs you can create, but please do not pump out multiple sloppy or unpolished designs "just because". There should still be quality standards and purposeful, well-thought-out design - even for NPCs! If there is a lack of a certain type of character that would be an excellent excuse to create an NPC! It is recommended to make no more than 2 NPCs per faction so that the proper amount of thought can be put into them. Low-effort submissions won't be accepted.

** Sharing your NPCs & using other people's uploaded NPCs: **
If you are willing to share your NPC with others and do not require permission for use, please put a check mark (✓) near the "free use?:" field.
If you would prefer people to ask permission first before using your NPC, or if your NPC is off-limits entirely, please put an X-mark (X).

You may clarify in the description your NPC's availability and terms of use. For example you may say, 'for free use, except no killing'.

To those using NPCs:
Please avoid inflicting major injuries/killing/etc a NPC created by someone else unless you get permission first. That's just good manners.

** Submitting your NPC to Shattered-Frontier: **
If your NPC is associated with a faction, submit them to the gallery in the faction's SUBFOLDER titled '___ NPCs'.
If your NPC is a not affiliated with an official SF faction, throw them into the Wanderer's subfolder titled 'NPCs' .
