This was originally a doodle I made on my tablet based on the haircut a girl at college had. After a few days of letting it sit around I finally decided to do some work on it. This is mostly an experiment in trying to draw detailed black hair. I think it came out fairly well. It's kinda lazy, and I might fix up some things later, but it's done for the most part.Edit: I played with some lighting effects, and some blur effects, and the smudge tool. I like how it looks a lot better now. Also, I added shading on the face.
Edit again: Touched up the hair eyes, and lips.

Right? I've been terrible about getting anything drawn lately, but I'ma try and work on it. I had trouble with the lips too. That was the 3rd or 4th version I drew them in before they looked right to me. I still need tons of practice. I had fun with the hair though.

I think it did work out well... I really like the loose bits of hair at the top of her head-- it's a good detail that makes this much more lifelike. Nice work!
