I've been trying to get into more painterly styles of art lately. It's just starting to appeal to me greatly and I want to improve at it, since that's going to be very useful once I get out of college and start job searching (plus this'll look good on a resume). I should probably focus on getting INTO college first, but yeah.

Plus, I've always been interested in fantasy artwork that has that semi-realistic touch to it. Art similar to `arcipello or *Bluefley and whatnot. They inspire me.

So. Before plunging head first into the world of fantasy semi/quasi-realism I thought I'd start with some still life practice first. This is my first real, serious attempt at painting in photoshop so take it easy on the crits.
