Description
The Executive Protection Unit is a special unit within the North Cartokwa Highway Patrol that is responsible for the transport, safety, and security of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, their immediate families, and the Governor's Mansion. In addition to their primary protectees, the unit is also responsible for the safety and transportation of out-of-state governors and dignitaries within the state of North Cartokwa. Unlike similar agencies, the NCHP Executive Protection Unit is not responsible for the security of the North Cartokwa General Assembly and its members, which is handled by the State Capitol Police operating out of the North Cartokwa Capitol Building. Colloquially known as "North Cartokwa's Secret Service," the unit operates out of the NCHP headquarters in downtown Cliffston, Alagan County, and is assigned to the statewide Troop G reporting directly to the Commander of the North Cartokwa Highway Patrol.Chevy Suburbans are used to transport the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and other dignitaries. Ford PIUs, Dodge Durangos, and Ford Expeditions are used for patrol, escort, and light transportation duties. Chevy vans are used to transport press members and various personnel.
