I’m so tired of all these cheesy pictures. This work is a kind of set-off to all my previous works.
I had naively thought I would be the first artist to draw Vinyl in that manner. Nothing of the sort. Now I know that Vinyl had already been drawn as Jack the Ripper and even Derpy had been. But I hope that my picture is stylistically closer to original character.
The work was quite difficult and I expect to detect some flaws in a day or two. But since I’ve been drawing just for half a year some mistakes and inaccuracies are inevitable.

Я жутко устал от приторных попсовых картинок. Это работа - своего рода противовес всему тому что я до этого делал.
Я по своей наивности думал, что я первый придумал, нарисовать Винилку в таком образе - как бы не так, и Винилка была Джеком Потрошителем и даже Дерпи. Но, надеюсь, я по стилистике поближе других подошел к оригиналу.
Работа достаточно сложная, наверняка ряд косяков вылезет позже, но я рисую всего чуть более полугода, поэтому ошибки и неточности неизбежны.

PS Кстати, все рисовалось под очаровательный cyber death metal Mechina , рекомендую, он клевый, почти как Septic Flesh.

Still, I mean, I practice on and off, as my biomed engineering classes allow, and have been for about a year, and my best work is just rough sketch work. This just became my background. Do you practice constantly?

I am drawing for 2-8 hours a day, but not every day. When I was very busy with work (I'm a photographer), I do not paint for two to three weeks. Thus, I did not practice regularly.

Ah, I see, now the numbers are adding up. And how do you practice, if I may ask? Particularly for people and ponies. Do you use lots of references or little models for perspective (<--my sworn enemy) or just good old repetition? Sorry to bother, but I'd like to learn. I mean, if that's okay with you...

I sometimes draw pencil based on other people's pictures. For backgrounds - I look photos of landscapes. Practice - a drawing of my drawings. Not all the sketches become full arts, but sufficiently large part.

Хехе. Винил, оказывается, в таком образе уже рисовали. И портрет, и ростовку. Но почему бы и нет. Хороших кроссоверов MetalGear x MLP - по пальцам пересчитать можно.

Я б при всем желании не догадался, что здесь что-то позаимствовано. Совершенно самостоятельная работа. Я сам смотрю все что выкладывают в пони группах здесь и на ВК и бывает вдохновляюсь чужими артами - это нормальный процесс, это не копирование, это творческое переосмысление.
