Okay, apparently I've been a member here for 4 years and never bothered to post any of my art, he he he.Thanks to my friends all constantly telling me to post my art somewhere, I guess I've finally given in and decided to actually do what they've been telling me for years.
This piece of fan art is currently my newest, and a big improvement on how I used to draw these two many years ago. Yep! I've always loved Team Rocket and have been a Rocketshipper for about 10 years, but this is the first new drawing I've done of Jessie and James in 5 years!
Anyway, this is simply an illustration how one day all that hugging, hand holding, etc. is going to eventually lead them into this situation where they suddenly realize what they're doing and how close they are to one another. Maybe they'll admit it, but they probably won't as someone is bound to interrupt them, like Meowth, or something else, and then they won't mention the incident again, as if it never happened. They'll just steal glances when they think the other isn't looking, all the while trying to convince themselves that they don't feel that way.
Or you could just make up your own mind about what happens, he he he.

LOL. I recently stumbled upon the shipping movement for this couple, and it awakened something within me that I haven't thought about in a LONG time. This couple was my very first ship, a looooong time ago. I was about 10 years old, and I'm 26 now, so you can well imagine how long it's been. I'm so happy the shipping for this couple is still very much alive. Your art brought back a lot of happy memories for me, as well as a lot of new inspiration. Fantastic work!

A great Rocketshipper moment. If I'm not mistaken, they did get married in the manga, so maybe this is the beginning of that.

It's really a shame they never seriously explored this in the anime. I mean, they argued back and forth like a married couple, but I don't think the show ever explored the possibility that there could have been some unspoken feelings behind all that. I know it was a kid's show and all, and that these were supposed to be the "bad guys," except that, for bad guys, they were surprisingly sympathetic. Other "teams" were depicted as being much worse, in terms of real "badness." But I guess keeping to just hints just made the characters all the more appealing. Like that flashback scene in "Training Daze," where Jessie and Meowth pull James out of some trap--and he falls on top of her. The look they exchanged then was priceless.
