"If that's the best Ched'Hihrin has to offer, no wonder we conquered your city" said Carlae Lo'Kee, the unimpressed instructor at the foreigner Initiated of Negeé, who was trying to show-off her sword skills.
This comment made the young drow of Hihrin get a darker shade in her skin out of anger, the tips of her hears tingling... and as the Acolyte of Negeé training her wanted, made her miss one of her cuts at the training dummy.
After failing at a cut against a static target, the drow girl turned furiously to the Acolyte. "WE AREN'T CONQUERED!! We are allies! Equals, in the service of the Goddess of Negeé"
"You should learn to control your temper." the Acolyte said, pointing the dummy. "Just a couple of words shouldn't mess with your concentration"
The young Initiated of Negeé grumbled, looking at the floor, ashamed. Just now, she noticed the reason why the instructor did that.
"That's unfair" she mumbled.
"Fighting against a static target is unfair" said the acolyte with a cheeky smile. "And the truth shouldn't get you so worked up!"
"Yes ma'am-- hey!"

Oh dang, grown up Carlae Lo'Kee?!?!?! Awesome stuff, Shabazik! ^^ (I'm so far behind on DA, but slowly slogging through my backlog of messages, down from like 10,000 to just under 2,000 over the past few weeks... so getting there, this isolation and lack of work as a result is doing wonders for me catching up on things, at least.)

One does have to wonder about the mindset of a young Ched'Hirin native in the Academy. A princess back home, who is now in the capital of the hegemony where her home state is just another subject.
Imojin? For her previous adult appearance, that instructor looks like Imojin's big sister Carlae Lo'Kee instead!
Young acolytes how seem to be excelling often seem to teach at various levels in the Academy. Much like Rhea Dahl'Arak, or Carlae's own mother for that matter. Time has progressed, I won't be able to keep thinking those girls as little children anymore! Time to update Carlae's wiki page!
