"What are you doing?" asked the drow guide to the human that had hired her to show the city of Negeémiliel beyond the Foreigner Quarters, where the non-drow merchants where forced to live - and often, only there remained-.

Daniel the Merchant scratched his chin, thoughtful.

The goblin woman - a goblin with dark grey skin, white hair and red eyes-, knowing that she was being watched, winked at the human, while having a smug grin.

"Nothing. Just pondering about half drows." he said.

"Half drows don't exist" the guide said. That was anatema to the drows. "There are drows, or there aren't". The alternatives where simply too much, to ever consider. Because it meant either a drow woman accepted on her bed non-drow - a slave, as non drows could only be that, she be damned to recognise she was hired by a foreign human merchant-, or even worse, it would mean that drow men laid with non-drow slave women... Which was absolutely banned in the matriarchy of the drows.

"and how you explain them?" asked Daniel. She knew what he meant. How sometimes, under drow rule, deep elves, deep humans, deep dwarves, deep goblins and deep orcs - and others they called "deep" to signify them coming from the underworld of Kazrrad-, they began to look more and more like drow. Not being drow, of course.

"magic" said the guide, sure of herself. "Is the magic of these caverns, that turns their skin, their eyes and their hair to what it is. Is the ambience magic, of living down and deep in Kazrrad."

".... So.... Logically then, under that logic, drows where once simply surface elves, who mutated by magic go what they are now? "

"So you are saying then, than at least in a magical way, non-drows are becoming, at least to some degree, half drow?"

Daniel the merchant raised his shoulders and chuckled to himself. Drows are so openly sexual in scandalous ways, he found funny how his guide reacted to such revulsion at the mere thought of the natural consecuences of a sexually active society... Specially with sexually available slaves.
