S H E R V O

A Shervo is a type of mythical being or land legendary creature of Aiers.

They where supposed to be deer-people, part of the Beastmen, and there where stories of deer-people in Aels, Zarhuy, Hieyoks and Ushaenor, with their animal part being for different local members of the cervidae family.

The more ancient myths that speak from Shervos are from the Loranor, to who the Shervos where a representation of the God of the Game: scaredy forest peoples, protectors of the forests.

They where as well present in stories of the Gnoll and the K'nir, in which they assigned them similar roles, and that according to their stories, they hunted down to extinction.

Later, high elves recorded these stories during their imperial expansion during the late elfic age, and was supposed by them that, hidding in the deep forests, the shervos may have existed or still existed, hidding from foreigners.

However, some more modern interpretations of the beast-peoples myths of the pre-elfic ages, think that the Shervos may have been instead really elves, rather than beast people, and that the Beast-people, when first faced the errant elves, intrerpreted them as animal-peoples as themselves.

Something that may probe this is that, due archeological remains, it seems that in some prehistoric elven cultures, it was common the use of deer skin as clothing, and their antlers as headgear, having as well domesticated some animals of the family of the cervidae.

Shervos creations

It's said that high elves of the Empire of Whide Axis may have created some life golems and creations, bassed after deers, either bipedal as in the myth of the shervos, and in a centaur configuration.

Some said as well that some demons shaped some of their creations as well after deers, but not enough to be considered a people of their own as a demonic creation. There where some deer-demon creations in the legions of Furfur, demon king-of-the-beasts.

Doars

A variant of this myth where the Doars: said to be seen in northern Aels lurking near enchanted swamps, the elusive creatures were described as slightly different, having instead a more humanoid face.
