You pull the angel to a private alleyway in the Skyworld Marketplace. Dark Pit follows, arms crossed and smirking.
"At least he's no longer annoyingly cheerful," he says.
"Shut up, Kuro!" You say, whipping around to slap the dark angel on the cheek, and you made sure to do it hard.
"Ow! What in Hades, (Name)?!" Dark Pit groans, rubbing the bright red mark you presented him with on his left cheek.
"Don't be so insensitive at a time like this!" You send a glare his way and he puts his hands up in protest.
"Woah! Take a chill pill! I was kidding. Zeus, you must really be in love with him if you care that much about me making a joke about him."
"W-what?! No way!" You protest, a blush forming on your delicate (skin colour) features. The counterpart merely chuckles at your reaction, knowing he had hit the nail on the head. Yet, knowing Dark Pit, he's not done with his teasing, not until you become a blushing mess we he stop... If he stops.
"Methinks the Lovey-Dovey Tomato Lady doth protest too much," he grins and you scoff, secretly holding a giggle in. Pit can't even read but Dark Pit knows Shakespeare?! I mean, sure, they're opposites but still! Did he really have all that knowledge stored inside when he came out of the Mirror of Truth?! You will never understand how the world works...
"Hell is empty and all the devils are here!" You deadpan, "Boom!"
Dark Pit raises an eyebrow, "You ruined it at 'boom!'," he imitates your peace-out action and imitates you in a loud, squeaky voice. And guess what you did next? B***h slap!!!!!!!
"SHUT UP, KURO!!!!!" You shout, finally giving up and turning to see the captain of guards staring blankly at the ground. You gently reach up, taking his shoulders. He looks up at you, sapphire blue eyes gently melting into your (eye colour) ones. You sigh, shivers running down your spin as you breath in and out, a lump starting from the depths of your throat as you stare into a blue nothingness that is your crush's orbs. "Pit..."

He nods gently, eyes never leaving yours. You find yourself unable to speak. Watching him in so much pain, watching his suffer, watching that cheerful face you fell in love with reduced to nothing but a pit of loneliness. It scares you. What if he remains like this forever? What would you do? Is there a way to return him to normal? A way to get the Pit you know and love back? You were ready for anything. Ready to lay down your life if needed... Even if it meant never seeing him again...

Now it's Dark Pit's turn to get pissed. He pushes you to the side and grips Pit roughly by the shoulders, shaking him hard. Watching the two made you dizzy. Watching the blurs of white and black go back and forth; your head started spinning!
"IDIOT!!! CAN'T YOU SEE SHE'S WORRIED ABOUT YOU?!!!! COME ON PIT STAIN!!!! PROVE YOU'RE NOT ANNOYINGLY CHEERFUL!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH OF A WEIRDO YOU LOOK LIKE NOW?! ARE YOU WAITING FOR YOUR PRECIOUS GODDESS TO FREE HER CAPTAIN OF GUARDS?! PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!!!!!!!" It ended with you pulling Dark Pit off him, tears in your eyes.
"That's enough, Kuro!" You whimper, the salty drops rolling down your cheeks. The fallen angel's crimson eyes widen.
"H-hey! Don't cry! I'm so--!" More worried about Pit, you push past him and run to help your friend up. He gently takes your hand after a few minutes of staring and trying to comprehend what was happening. You pull him to his feet and hug him. He returns the embrace, holding you tightly in his arms.
"Pit... What's wrong?"
"I think..." he starts. You gulp, never wanting to hear the end of that dreaded sentence," something bad is going to happen..."
