this looks like a steel dagger, without any kind of finish. nice genuine metal handle, could be worth quite a bit, blade looks dull but usable. handle looks to have a nice silver lining
please tell me if i had anything wrong with that description. im trying to practice how to identify different kinds of knifes and swords.

Hey there ^^
The dagger is steel indeed, but it's not genuine. I bought it at a castle museum in France and it's an imitation - it serves for cutting paper, opening letters or just decoration. It's worth about 20 euros if my memory serves me right. The flash on the photo makes it look more shiny than it really is. Hope this hemps
