I like both Lars and Sadie. Sure, Sadie's too nice and Lars can be a jerk a lot, but the two work well with each other and get along beautifully in certain episodes. It's too bad that the "cannon" sunk the ship in the crossover, huh?

Seriously, though, if this wasn't an April Fool's episode I'm sure everyone would've been upset about the fact that the (Ladie? Sars?) ship was sunk by the literal/metaphorical canon. I certainly was, especially after all the ups and downs those two have had. If Steven wasn't there on the island with them, they may have done more than share a kiss. I think it's implied that they already have (what with Sadie being "player 2" and playing "video games" with Lars all night), but I'm not really sure. I mean, I'm not a shipper, but I'm definitely a ship supporter in this case.

Yeah but theres also the fact about traveling dimensions, and the joke about gemsonas, and the fact that the gem's personalities were much more exaggerated (especially pearl) it was obviously a 'joke' episode.
and yeah even the fact that their ship was sunk was really silly too, meant to make people laugh and not worry about their actual relationship too.

Something funny about the Gemsona joke: the episodes for season two were written while season one was still in production, so Gemsonas weren't actually a thing yet. Rebecca Sugar knew her fanbase before her fanbase did!!

I don't think Gemsonas started getting popular until after the episode "Lion 2: the movie", but like I said, season 2 was already being written by that time.
