Apple Bloom and the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders shouldn't have to worry about their cutie marks. Their still young.Whip Lash on the other hand should have had her mark long ago but, doesn't. There's nothing wrong with her but, all the other ponies point and laugh every time she comes around.
She didn't chose to be a blank flank. But, the other ponies are too simple-minded to understand how she feels.

That's horrible. I think Skull Fire might welcome her anyway though despite her lack of cutie mark. She can always use an extra pair of hooves to help carry gems.

Yep Skull Fire would offer her a job in no time. Since Shade (Pegasus) is a heroic type I could see her being all sympathetic since technically she doesn't know her own talent.
