Description
The sun had only chased the clouds from their slumber in the valley when she took to the ridge, lush highland grass underfoot still crisp with dew. The doe's steps were carefree, her ruddy coat lit softly by the clear spring dawn.Look- an upload! D8
The property by my school has a lovely herd of Red Deer, and a smaller herd of Fallow which is too far away to sketch. So I sat down one day and did some quick form sketches. Took the basic sketch, decided to line it and draw a doe- then remembered I have an ancient doe character: Shea [[link] ]
Touched her design up and took my time with a background, new technique for the grass.Had to dust off my deer anatomy skills and did a quick attempt at greyscale colouring which I can't say I'm completely happy with, but it's good for a first attempt.
