Description
Gengar is my favorite ghost Pokemon! So much so that my gengar in Pokemon Moon is named after me! (Because I'm such a weirdo)This gengar is based more of the gen two sprite, because I really like the contrast that it had.

I've never really paid much attention to the Gen II sprites, but I completely agree with you on the colour! The contrast between the outline and the shading really makes this artwork pop! <3

Yeah, the gen 2 sprites for gengar are totally underrated! Just imagine if game freak had kept the intense contrast in recent games! *A*
(Also Thanks!)

Thanks, that effect is called the hurricane brush in Corel Painter! I don't know if photoshop has an equivalent, but it might!Β

It's fine ^^
I'm glad to hear that you found a program that fits you better! I know that having the right tools can make all the difference sometimes. I also just checked your gallery and noticed a huge jump in quality (And an especially cute whale shark)! Congrats! C:
I still don't know if fire alpaca has an equivalent to Corel Painter's hurricane bush, though...

You're welcome!Β
I'm still discovering new effects and techniques in Painter, so I'm guessing firealpaca has a lot of neat stuff buried beneath its surface too. C:

If I didn't know that that's how they evolved, then I'd probably be in a similar boat as your friend when trading.
