"Oh my Iuppiter, Cupid, you drunk bastard", sighed Iuno as she stepped over the peacefully sleeping Love God. He was knocked out... again with his drinking mate Bacchus who was sleeping next to him. They were snoring in a chorus, disturbing the heavenly music which was playing in somewhere the background. Like in the malls -- you hear the song but do not know where it comes from.Iuno kicked Cupid on the back, placing her tiny foot perfectly over the god's kidney. The subject of this wrongdoing woke up with an agonising scream and sat up searching who was that perfidious soul that disturbed in his alcoholic dream.
"M'lady", said Cupid as he laid his eyes upon Iuno. He didn't dare saying anything dirty to the wife of Iuppiter. "I just took a little nap before the Big Day. I deserve it."
"Today is the Big Day, Cupid", answered Iuno with her calmest voice. "You have to fly down to the mortals with your magic bow and arrow, and spread love."
"'Kay", murmured Cupid, then he grabbed his attributes from the cloud which were laying next to him and with a little difficulty of balancing he took off. He hated THAT day. Full of hearts, plush toys and flowers. He was allergic to pollen. But his duty was to make the mortals fall in love with each other so he had to go. He hated Valentine's Day, the busiest day of the year... for him.
Down the Earth there was chaos. As the god of love didn't do properly his job, the people fell in love with the wrong person or -- God have mecry -- with objects or animals. The love life of mankind was a total mess, and Kayla hated this mess. She was almost 26 and she never ever got close to her perfect soulmate in her whole life. She dated with dumbasses, jerks, and pervs since she had been 16. Ten years of bad luck with guys... She had enough. And Kayla knew who to blame -- that bastard Cupid. He was responsible for all that mess and her bad luck with guys so she had to do something. She decided to watch and stalk in order to find Cupid ("that bastard") and hunt him down. In her opinion there would have been order if the god of love was dead. So, Kayla grabbed her pistol on the Big Day -- a.k.a Valentine's Day -- because she knew Cupid had to show up somewhere in the town. He had to, right?
Kayla was walking on the streets, watching for any sign of Cupid's being. She was wandering the streets whole day and then suddenly she saw something strange. A bunch of white feathers swept over in front of her eyes. She knew it just must had been Cupid so she started to chase what she was seeing...
(Sorry for the possible grammatic mistakes, I'm not a native speaker.
) Well, I let you decide if Cupid had managed to escape or Kayla ended him.
