As you may be aware the Annual Nuzlocke Extravaganza results are in! This year I was nominated several times for any different categories and I can't even thank the nominators enough for that. It is really nice to see people nominating my run and keeping up the support through all these years. I made it to the polls in two categories: Most Impacting Comic Death (Solveig and Jormungandr) and Favourite Dramatic Comic.
I won the first place of the death category and came second in the favourite dramatic comic one. The dramatic award came as a surprise but I'm very happy that my comic is regarded as one of the favourite comics. It makes me really happy. I've never won an award like that before, usually it has been something from the art category.
As for the death category it was something that I had been hoping and even dreaming about ever since the deaths happened in the game. It was a very impacting death to me and I tried to make it so to the readers as well. It took a lot of planning and I think I did the best I could with it so I am very happy that this distant dream of mine came true. This may be a simple fan comic but it means a lot to me.
I wanted to draw one final (?) picture with Jorry and Sol as a kind of thanks. It's a bit bleak and sad for a thank you picture, mostly due to the events that occurred, but I hope it's alright. I wanted to capture a peaceful scene in which the characters would appear to be distant. I also wanted to try to use less saturated and contrasted tones. It was pretty fun. Personally I really like how Sol turned out. She was always nice to draw anyway.

Sweet altaria too. I think I can see a bit of its draconian-ness glinting through just a little, and I like it. Also, cool hoatzin chick esque wing-claws.

Yeah im actually making a nuzlocke comic too and I even have a Magicarp (Ariel) so I wish you luck on the rest of your Hoenn journey and I have faith your team will make it through this

For a Nuzlocke? Idk, just stick to the rules and go forth no matter what. If you catch a Zubat keep it and make it a Crobat. Crobat and Gyarados are two of the arguably best Pokemon in a Nuz from my experience.

Ok well Ariel is in the daycare so by the time I come back she should be a lvl19 and I do have a Zubat (Sonic) but im playing Firered so he won't be a crobat til after I beat the game but anyway thank you for the advice also I love how you make your Pokemon look so realistic its awesome especially your Aggron

Yeah I know and I also really wanted an Umbreon....oh well I guess it's part of the challenge with working what you have oh well but thanks for the advice. So far my teams doing good no loss of life but we still need to get our second badge but I'm training them so they be close to level 30 before that because I want my starter (Scorch the charmeleon) to finish off each of the gyms final Pokemon he did it with Brocks Onix and came out ok. Besides he's nearly lvl 30 he should be able to take out Mistys starmie with a few Mega Punches

This really was a crazy impactful death.
I never noticed how much Corbidae is in Solveig's design, somehow. Most people go right to swan for Altaira, but there's some definite Jay in her, isn't there?

I don't think Altaria is very swan-like. If I would choose a bird it might be a secretary bird (for more elegant look) or for more plump maybe some grouse birds.
The beak is more jay-like yes, and the head in general. I don't know if there's just one dominant bird, Sol was just a mess of different species.

I adore Solveigs design... she is so damn beautiful!
And the way you did the water and the grayish- blue colors look great. The rough sea and hazy weather add some melancholy to the whole picture.

I love your whole team of characters, but I have to say that Solveig was particularly wonderful. You did an excellent job developing her, and her character felt very authentic and complex. Her relationship to Fenrir wasn't forced, rushed, or awkward. It felt right. She was really an amazing addition to the cast. She's also just physically beautiful :3
Your comic deserves every award it won and more. It will always be one of the best in my mind. Keep up the amazing work. You've got something truly incredible going here.

I really liked Solveig's character. It was always nice and easy to write and brought so much to the team and cast as a whole. And she was nice to draw, probably my favourite with Thorn.
