It reminded me of the lush nature on Madeira and some of the amazing plants growing there. The soil is so fertile and the climate is perfect all year round so plants such as dandelions and blueberries grow into small trees! It inspired me to play around with the character's unique feature and boom, giant nasturtium. I had so much fun painting this!

Yeah Madeira is also a volcanic island so that should explain it. Would be cool to visit more places like that, it was so beautiful and inspiring!
