My entry for 's November contest.This time th task was to draw a randomly generated Pokemon with a limited colour palette, also randomly generated. I got Pidgey with Virizion's colour palette.
It was surprisingly tricky to work with such limited colours but it was a lot of fun, too! I got an idea right away when I got the generator results and I think this came out pretty much how I imagined it. The only thing that I found hard was getting enough contrast. I'm used to work with quite dark hues so I found setting a good contrast difficult. I'm not sure if I should've added in more white so that the gray colour would've appeared darker. That's something I still need to work on, drawing with light colours and still getting nice contrasts.
Otherwise I really liked the colour palette! I think all the five colours look really nice together.

Haha, that sounds adorable! :> When I still lived at home there were also a lot of sparrows sitting in the hedges. You couldn't see them but you sure could hear their chirping. In winter time they were extremely fluffy and funny looking.

Yeah, they sure are goofy little fluffer nutters! Sometimes when it's very cold or windy out it looks like a whack-a-mole game with all the little heads that keep randomly popping out of the hedge.

I love Pidgey. You could even say this is flock of shinies (they're goldish green) just looking funny 'cuz of lighting.

oooh they look like, they have the color pattern of ... like, when you would turn on pokemon red or blue, and moved the control pad around and got the red and green color. pidgeys looked almost like they do in this amazing drawing! great job dude!!

Hurja väriyhdistelmä kyllä, et mitään helpointa saanut. Yllättävän hyvin kyllä toimii, vaikka helposti onkin raju ja jotenkin väkivaltainen varsinkin kun taivas on miltei kauttaaltaan punainen. Paljon kontrasteja muutenkin kun lintuparvet on niin rauhassa eikä mikään ilkeä poke ole tulossa syömään. Ehkä kaikkein tyylitellyin ja viehättävin kohta on oikeassa laidassa kahdessa ensimmäisessä pidgeyssä ja taivaan valkeassa pilvirepeämässä, joka sekin näyttää muodostavan yhden pidgeyn. :3

Kieltämättä oli aika haastava mutta sitäkin hauskempi väriyhdistelmä, ei tule usein tuollaisten värien kanssa tehtyä mitään. Ja olet oikeassa tuon punaisen taivaan suhteen, tuli aika uhkaavan oloinen tunnelma siitä. :3 Yritin lähinnä saada kontrastia lintujen ja taivaan välille etteivät ne ihan huku taustaan.
Enpä muuten lainkaan huomannut tuota linnunmuotoista repeämää pilvipeitteessä.
