A father's day gift for my dad. It's a bookmark but I don't know if I can quarantee it'll be used as one. Oh well, at least I did something unusual - not that a drawing would be an unusual gift from me.I'm not sure if he'll like it. I'll see that tomorrow. I wanted to draw a deer and surprisingly it turned out to be a random deer from The Endless Forest. Because I love magpies just as much as TEF I picked magpie design. It was much fun to draw but the antler-feathers were father interesting since I didn't really know how they should be done. However, I'm happy how they came out. Actually, I'm really happy about the whole picture. Watercolours work wonders on Bristol board!
I think I just found a style I want to use more. It was so much fun to do this one. In case you wonder what the title means it's a Finnish word for 'November' - or actually for 'death', I think. Marraskuu is November so I guess the month's name in Finnish means the month of death. The actual word for death is 'kuolema' in Finnish so I guess 'marras' is an older word.

I don't know whether your dad liked it, but I do. I've never heard of Endless Forest (is it a game?), but Finnish folklore is very interesting. I love the way the human and animal features flow together.

He actually did like it and yes, The Endless Forest is a game, an online game to be precise. 
This deer has nothing to do with Finnish folklore, though, but it is from the game.

Voi että, tää on tosi mielenkiintonen ja hieno! Tykkäsin todella paljon tuosta kuinka monta eri "olentoa" hahmossa on. Ja sinisen musteen käyttö tuo siihen sen kylmyyden jonka Marraskuu vaatii. : D

Tuli jotenkin pakonomainen tarve käyttää sinistä mustetta ja vesivärejä. Noissa pullomusteissa on vaan se huono puoli, että jos läträilee veden kanssa liikaa, muste lähtee leviämään. :/ Onneksi tässä ei käynyt niin.
