In case you still don't know what's going on... Two pictures in a day! This must be a new record.
I wanted to draw the generic fire fox starter because even if it's very generic, I like it a lot. The design is nice and simple and what's even better, it's not very likely to evolve into a Fire/Fighting type. I hope. But yeah, I'm gonna pick Fennekin when I get the games. I like the other two starters, too, but Fennekin is just too adorable.
I think Fennekin might set a small fire to protect itself while it's sleeping. It's hard to draw these new Pokemon since we know so little about them. Well, I wanted to draw a fire fennec sleeping inside a ring of fire.
I'll draw the deer legendary tomorrow. Saving the best for last.

Right now I'm a bit torn between the starters. Fennekin hasn't disappointed at any point but I saw potential in Chespin - until the evolution was revealed. And now I'm kinda rooting for Froakie. Well, we'll see what I actually end up getting.

It knows a move called "Glow Punch", which reminds how fairies glow(a fairy punch XD). So Β there are three possibilities:
-Fire/Pyschic
-Fire/Ghost
-Fire/Fairy

I think it's quite unlikely. I believe at this point even Nintendo has had enough of Fire/Fighting starters.
At least I really, really hope so.
Probably gonna pick Chespin anyway, Fennekin lost its charm when I heard it shoots fire out of its ears.

On the note of which starter I'm going to pick, I'm probably gonna go with Chespin. Nothing against the others (even Froakie. I know peole hate him, but honestly, I think he's too derpy to dislike), I just REALLY LIKE CHESPIN ouo

I like both Froakie and Chespin, too. I have very high expectations of Chespin's evolution, and I might end up picking him.

I'm thinking about ecological balance - every ecosystem has some form of destruction, but it's always curbed and controlled, and BALANCED, with something else...~

Your explanation sounds good, it might as well be like that. I think my idea was some sort of mix between that and the rumor of Fennekin being Fire/Psychic so it could control the fires with its mind.
Poke-realism is fun to think about, but I think making them hyper realistic isn't that good. What I mean is that if you take it too far, if you try to apply "the rules of the real world" on everything Pokemon might lose what makes them so fascinating and unique. For example legendaries easily lose their godhood and what makes them so special. It's kinda hard to explain, but that's what I think.

The final evolutions would be interesting to see. Fennekin would be my pick based on the first stages, but all of them have potential. I'll wait for the evolutions before I make decisions.

Yes, it has. The last time I picked a fire starter was Torchic in 3rd gen (or Cyndaquil in HG).

The last time I started with a fire type was My SS nuzlocke. Boy I am so glad he didn't die. And then I have a hard time between all the starters in Kanto. I am pretty sure I've picked all of them in seperate games...
