[On Tumblr]I haven't had time to draw in such a long time! I got this idea in the middle of a pretty intense school work period and I was itching to do it for days. Space kitties are one of my favourite topics, although I don't think dA has seen any (?) of my space kitties. I think I've posted most on my Tumblr.
This was all in all a rather small and simple painting. I made a little step-by-step guide about the process!

My, my, my, this looks magnificent. The color shades are amazing, and so detailed that I could barely believe it was done in watercolours.
The left part of the neck fur seems a bit too 'abstract' compared to the rest, but that's definitely the only negative thing I could find - and it isn't that negative anyway.
The galaxy effect is wonderful, the spots are pitch perfect, the anatomy is flawless... Yeah, I'm in love with this one.

Oh, just the the far-left part of the neck fur that seemed less 'furry' than the rest, as the 4-5 white lines were, well, just separated lines, while the others are merging together, closer and thinner, so it gives the more realistic feeling of a tuft of fur. I don't know how to explain things properly, so let's say that it could have ressembled the yellow ones on this picture. nsa37.casimages.com/img/2016/0… Also, the left eye might seem less open than the right one, probably because of the extra thickness just under the left eyelid. So, it looks half serious and half amazed. (Maybe he is~)
But, eh, I'm really just picking on unnecessary details and I'm feeling guilty. I've just been keeping in mind your post from the other day, about the current lack of serious comments, or even comments whatsoever, so I thought that I could actually spend 5 minutes trying to give a proper, deeper feedback. I'm no critic, and I'm far from ever reaching a thousandth of your level, but... As we already discussed, I think that comments and feedback are a huge part of an artist's progression. Please tell me if I'm out of place, really, I wouldn't mind at all.
Anyway, this is one of my upmost favorite arts of yours, hands down. The fluffiness of the tail is adorable, the glow effects are absolutely incredible, the shades of blue are gorgeous (and you might or might not already know how monomaniac I am about this color) and - did I already say it? Yes I did - every little detail is pitch perfect. If this ever is for sale, even as a print... Eh.

In the first image it's especially clear that the fluffier are is concentrated on the chest and the throat areas, not so much on the sides. The sides have smoother, more even für. The 4-5 odd hairs you highlighted were put there to give an impression of the fluffy chest without making it too monotonous or symmetric.
And you're right about the eyes, I noticed it when I was posting this.

Fine then! I have quite a picture in mind (whole illustration with two characters), now the only thing left would be to actually save enough money, I guess... But I can picture it quite precisely in yoru watercolor style, so I'll keep this in mind. ^^ (Although, please remember that I will only be able to eat rice and pasta for the rest of the year because of this. You monster. :>)

Well, it would be 2 human characters with some fine armor, directly (inspired) from Xenoblade Chronicles X. But shhhh.
I don't know. Pasta are fine, I guess. But you'll have to eat some lemon meringued pie in my honor, when I'll be STARVING TO DEATH. (Also, I kinda made up my mind and I'm definitely gonna apply for a commission next time.)
