Description
I no longer know which is the real one.This is a fast watercolour painting I painted to thank a person who paid me most generously for a picture I sold them.
About time for me to practise reflections a little. I've always wanted to try to paint a calm lake that reflcets everything clearly.

Ehkä kaikkein paras juttu tässä on kuitenkin toi asettelu ja se, miten heijastukselle on annettu huomattavasti enemmän tilaa kuin oikealle maailmalle. Ei olisi ollut lainkaan yhtä säväyttävä, jos raja olisi mennyt esimerkiksi suoraan keskeltä kuvaa. :>

That's why I stick to a camera.
One thought about reflections comes to mind, though. The reflected image is always darker than the original. Perhaps not always a lot darker but usually enough to see fairly easily.
It's one of those things that make some images look "off" even when you can't quite put your finger on the reason.

Todella kaunis työ. Ihan kokemuksestakin tiedän, että vesiväreillä on uskomattoman vaikee maalata, ja sä saat niistä noin kaunista jälkee O__O

The reflection is done really quite well. The only thing I would suggest is to paint the reflection even looser. With watercolour -especially water- there really is a 'less is more' aspect

I was actually thinking about doing so but I wanted an almost mirror-like reflection so I painted it like that. :>
