This is Cuare our northern Saw-Whet owlShe's our smallest bird and boy is she sassy!
She was attacked by a cat and has severe mucsle/tissue/nerve damage on her right wing and it's semi-paralyzed.
She's full grown and believe it or not she's not the smallest owl in the world
Saw-whet owls are "true owls" called Strigidae. the live in southern canada northern USA, colder areas, her feet are covered in feathers. Owls have excellent eye site in the night because they have more rods in thier eyes than we do. She's also really fluffy lol, thats becasue her feathers are designed to be silent, so most all owls have this silent flight.
