|Introvert|

Foreigner Doesn't mind making new friends or meeting new folks, and he'll talk all day if you let him. He'll just talk abut everything except himself. No one wants to hear him talk about his past and all that. Makes you sound self-centered.

|Easily distracted|

Anything at all can grab his attention. A bird flying in the sky, a funny-shaped cloud, a squirrel or rabbit, anything at all and he'll have lost track of what he was supposed to be doing in the first place.

|Cuddly|

Having been sold at just 3 months of age, you won't find a horse that craves tactile contact with another more than Foreigner. That's one of the few things he misses from the Ranch: There was always someone there to give him a few pats and brushes.

|Gentle|

Just because he's big doesn't mean he's a brute. He was taught manners, and has learned you get more things with honey than you do with vinegar.

|Loyal|

Once you have his trust, you have a powerful ally. Foreigner relies on others more than he'll ever admit to anyone in the herd, and he would do anything to make sure the others are safe. But don't break that trust; he has a pretty good memory for being mistreated.

Even though he's a soft-spoken sort of guy, he won't let others use him or walk all over him. If something makes him feel like he has no choice, he will speak up and then walk out.

Foreigner has no filter between his brain and his mouth at times, so anything he thinks he's very likely to say. He never means anything rude by it, he just gets...well, mouth diarrhea.

History:

Foreigner comes from a rather wealthy owner from Europe who sold him as a colt for gold found far in the western mines. His second owners used his strength and calm nature to haul heavy loads around Marrisson Ranch, like hay loads and logs and such. He was treated well when he did as he was told, and still doesn't hold a grudge against the Two-Legs. In fact, the only reason he escaped was because he was busy following a rather bright star in the night sky, curious about where it led. Of course, when he realized he had wandered off he tried retracing his steps but ended up even more lost than he started. So slowly he paced through the arid region, following a cattle drive path to a river, and then following the river to some very big hills until he found other horses. Isn’t that something? Maybe they had gotten lost, too. So he tries to join them, though he’s not sure he’ll fit in since none of them seem too interested in…well, going back.

He keeps a stick in his mouth when he can, a ghost of his chewing vice from the ranch – if he wasn't working he was soooo bored – and when he loses the current stick, he soon finds another to keep his teeth busy. His incisors are worn more than normal ones for horses his age from all his chewing, and occasionally he gets wood bits stuck in his gums which hurt like nothing else. He retains his lineage’s mark, the silvered mane and tail from his Norwegian blood, and he’s stockier from the Ardennes ancestry. His hooves are a bit chipped from having torn off his shoes, but they should fix themselves right quick. All in all, Foreigner just wants to be back to his stable buddies, make sure they’re alright with the extra work load. …Oh boy, those Two-Legs are going to maaad at him when he gets back, getting himself lost. Maybe he should just stay with the half-wild horses instead. Master was always talented with that crop.
