Here’s some backstory on my Trolls’s AU. Let’s focus on Zedd, who had to run the most tragic events of the war between music styles

This was the reason behind Zedd’s downfall, and why I don’t call him a “King” in any of my drawings

Wylde had wanted to destroy all music, once she got all the strings by stealing each of them in silence and careful patience, she struck on the whole world of the AU Trolls, transforming herself into a beast full of unimaginable power that caused many problems along their world, of course, all kingdoms got in war between themselves, because Wylde made them believe in between them that they all had taken away their strings (when it was her all along) and so, many trolls from all kingdoms began to raid and fight other kingdoms to find their strings.

The former King Zedd was attacked by the Rock kingdom the most, but there’s country and classical trolls into it as well. It happened in the middle of one of his parties with his people. It was when his party was crashed by a sudden seaquake that startled everyone, including him, Zedd inmediately felt the massive power after him, and he saw what was coming. The war

So, in hopes to survive, Zedd had to retreat all of his people from the kingdom they were located. And he went to take his string, however, he noticed he did not found it, and by this, he lost much time that could have been invested in saving his kind. By the minutes he realized that his string was not there, 10% of his population was already exterminated by Wylde’s iron fists of power. Including unfortunately, Zedd’s parents. King Zedd, in bewteen tears, wen’t inmediately to find his little brother, Denki, whom he found under piles of rocks that thankfully did not caused much of a harm, but the loss of blood did had him dizzy.

In his way of escaping the Techno Kingdom, he managed to save few of his people by attacking their offenders. But in the middle of his fights bewteen different trolls, Denki was not with Zedd anymore. King Zedd, extremely disoriented and anxious, began to look for his tiny brother, which worked as another distraction that was totally not prepared by Wylde, and it was perfect to exterminate more of the Techno Kingdom.

Zedd could not find his brother, and time was running out for him. More Techno trolls we’re subtracted from the water population. But Zedd had a wild card under his fins, he had bombs scattered all over the Techno Kingdom, most of them we’re old, and had little chances of working, and in a moment of realization, he thought to blow up the Techno Kingdom so that the forces of the war that they were not ready to fight could retreat. And he did.

He blew up his own kingdom, full of tears now that the explosion might have taken away his little brother and many of his friends, from afar, very little techno trolls watched in horror (the ones that managed to escape) as Zedd exploded those bombs with his plasma abilities. They felt betrayal, many did not understood why Zedd did this, and they took it in the worst way.

Thanks to this, when Zedd came back to the little percentage of techno trolls, he saw the faces of disgust from his people. And realization fo what he has done began to sink in. He destroyed their home, he destroyed their people’s memories, pasts, futures...they had nothing. And he was blamed by being so blind and not keeping their string safe. Thanks to this, Zedd was not respected anymore, and he was overthrown from the crown by his own people. And he, surprisingly, coped with it, as he though he truly deserved that for breaking so many lives. He left the techno trolls, and got away. And now, he has found a new life in the canon Trolls World (not the AU) and he has lived in shadow, watching Trollex from afar with smiles and seeing part of his naive self in those cute little eyes he has. But he’s also there to protect them

So basically, Wylde won this war, but now that Zedd has found a new home, through skeptic and spiteful eyes, he will protect his new home...not the way anyone would expect him to, but he will, and he is, watching which was once his kingdom in hands of another version fo himself he grew to love. End~!

That’s why Zedd’s not “King Zedd” in any of my drawings. These clothes he has are his King clothes (and that’s Denki~!)

Enjoy, Zedd might have the most tragic of the stories bewteen the kings and Queens of other kingdoms. Cynder’s slightly similar, but she only lost Italo, and that is why Italo is now a robot instead of a flesh and bones Troll
