Would you believe me if I said it was a paper towel ( Bounty I think ) soaked in oil/vinegar with some pigment powders?

it is paper towel soaked in some rice wine vinegar and some pigment powders ~ snapped the shot and pulled it up on the comp and thought it kinda looked like scales
